He's a 2005 grad.......

If you were at UNT during the mid to early 90's we probably met at some point or had a class - or had breakfast at Jim's Diner, beer at Cool Beans, coffee at Karma or danced together at Bedo's.

My degree was in painting and drawing. If you were like me you - a typical artist - you had no clue what to do after graduation... I ended up in Cincinnati in 95 for 6 months and got into graphic design up there and worked as an editor of an art's magazine interviewing local artists and writing about the scene. It was a cool gig, and I mean COOL. Waaay too cold so I came back post haste!

I worked in the graphics field for a few years and then went to work for Fossil, Inc in Richardson. That led me to product design and the rest has been a lot of fun since. Lots of overseas travel for work to Asia and India and some travel to Europe. I also went to Germany for a year and a half in 2000/ 2001 just to experience living overseas before I was so entrenched in a career I couldn't afford to leave it.

As far as painting goes - I've kept up with it "some". I have a box of very small works, hundreds of them. I still paint on the fly and try to keep it in my system. My job has tapped some of my creative/painting juices.. and the magic of being an artist in my 20's has waned somewhat. It is what it is.. and "whatever is, is right" so I've heard.
